This Privacy Policy explains what information Blackwood LLC ("Blackwood," "we," "us") collects when you use the Blackwood website and MT5 Assistant platform (the "Service"), and how we use, store, and protect it.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly and information generated by your use of the Service:

• Account information — your email address and authentication details, whether you sign up directly or via Google sign-in.
• Payment information — payments are processed by Paystack. We receive confirmation of successful payments and your plan status; we do not store your card or mobile money details ourselves.
• Platform usage data — your subscription plan, licence key status, and credit balance for usage-based features such as the Trading Brain.
• Trading data you send us — if you connect the MT5 Assistant EA or indicators, certain market and account data (such as symbol, timeframe, and pattern signals) is sent to our backend so the dashboard, alerts, and analysis tools can function. We do not access your broker login credentials or place trades ourselves.
• Device preferences — such as your light/dark theme choice, stored locally in your browser.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To create and maintain your account and licence keys
• To process payments and manage your subscription plan and credit balance
• To operate the dashboards, alerts, and analysis features you've subscribed to
• To send you transactional emails (welcome emails, payment confirmations, licence key delivery)
• To maintain the security and reliability of the Service

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

3. Third-Party Services

We rely on a small number of trusted service providers to run the platform:

• Supabase — authentication and account/subscription data storage
• Paystack — payment processing
• Resend — transactional email delivery
• Railway and hosting infrastructure providers — running the backend and dashboards

Each of these providers processes data on our behalf under their own privacy and security practices.

4. Data Retention

We retain account and subscription information for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal, tax, or dispute-resolution obligations. You can request deletion of your account as described below.

5. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time by contacting us. If you delete your account, your active licence keys will be deactivated.

6. Cookies & Local Storage

We use local browser storage to remember your theme preference (light/dark mode). We do not currently use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

7. Data Security

We use industry-standard measures — including authentication providers, encrypted connections, and access-controlled infrastructure — to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of data transmitted to or from the Service.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

10. Governing Law

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana.
